Masseria Zanzara
A very old fortified farmhouse dating back to 1470 A.D. Masseria Zanzara is one of the oldest mansions in Apulia. It stands a few miles from the beaches of Porto Cesareo, Torre Lapillo and Punta Prosciutto, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and immersed in the wild scents of the Salento countryside.

Family Room with a large private terrace. The rooms are large and comfortable to accommodate a family with children or a group of friends. They offer a private relaxing experience with an intimate and discreet outdoor space. It is the perfect place to relax with a good book or for an afternoon siesta.
Junior Suite with terrace
A large space to enjoy your stay in the Masseria in complete serenity. A welcoming room located on the first floor overlooking the gardens and courtyard. For an authentic experience in full Apulian style, the ancient flooring and part of the furniture have been preserved. All this is completed by a fantastic private terrace for moments of relaxation. The only room in the Masseria from where you can admire an extraordinary sunset.
Double Comfort Room
Overlooking the garden, the Comfort Double Room offers a comfortable 16 m² of space. With a double bed, air conditioning and a private bathroom with shower, the room is perfect for one or two people. Inside you will find all the comforts for a totally relaxing stay.

A stay in the deluxe room with terrace is a unique experience. Located in the ancient tower dating back to 1470, this room offers an atmosphere of yesteryear enhanced by the tower vaults and antique furniture. Private access to the terrace allows you to enjoy the relaxation of your holiday.
Deluxe Junior Suite
Built in the Masseria’s old stables, this suite offers an authentic, rural-style stay. The atmosphere is made magical by a four-poster bed, an ancient fireplace and old mangers that transform the space into a unique and unforgettable indigenous experience. The suite overlooks the courtyard of the Masseria, a small table with chairs offers the opportunity to experience the outdoor space with discretion and privacy, the perfect secluded place to relax with a good book.
Comfort Triple Room
The spacious and bright environment makes this room perfect for a stay of a family or three friends. A cosy space located on the ground floor overlooking the garden and citrus grove. Equipped with one double and one single bed, private bathroom with large shower and air conditioning in all rooms.

This was a lovely old convent now a small hotel and restaurant. We drive there to have dinner out of the beating path and found ourselves in a beautiful old monastery turned into a modern version of a hotel/ restaurant.
Really hospitable staff, great mentality and very professional. They really go out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Great view as well. Very flexible and close to Firenze. Will come again

That of Masseria Zanzara is a centuries-old story that has its roots in the bare earth of the Salento countryside and grows luxuriant under the warm Apulian sun.
Many of the products we use in our cuisine originate just a few steps away from the Masseria, in the expanses of land that surround it. Olives, vegetables, fruit and vegetables are grown with our own hands according to the organic method.
From the centuries-old olive trees we produce our D.O.C. oil with its delicate, fruity flavour. With the same wisdom and gesture of ancient housewives, we continue to transform the gifts of our land to preserve them throughout the year.
This is how our preserves and jams are born. A concentrate of the most intense flavours of Apulia to take home to relive the experience made at the Masseria.

In the places where olive oil was once extracted stands our restaurant, a unique space recreated in the Masseria's ancient oil mill where barrel vaults and tufa walls enhance the authenticity of ancient flavours.
Our cuisine follows the seasonality of the ingredients, many of which are produced in the Masseria's fields according to organic cultivation and with full respect for biodiversity.
